For a long time now, Grace Landscapes have been leading the way with training. In particular we have focused on an "apprentice scheme" aimed at youths between 16 -19. The scheme has been so successful that we have even attracted young employees from other companies to participate and attend on day release at our site in Mirfield.

Ian Fearnley, a certified teacher and employee of 25 years, co-ordinates training at Grace Landscapes teams, even in the NE and NW. In a staff meeting a couple of years ago some of our foremen felt that they were being left behind in the knowledge stakes and wanted to gain some more qualifications. So, we listened and placed 5 foremen on the NVQ course and 12 months later all of them passed with flying colours.

Tim Grace and Ian Fearnley were present at our in-house awards ceremony and passed on a few wise words to the "old" gang.

So, older, wiser and better qualified, at Grace we won't give up on any of our staff.
