Congratulations to Midlands Area employee Mark Harrison who has recently completed a 5 mile charity walk dressed as a woman. Mark who recently lost his father was one of 80 people who took part in the walk which raised a very impressive £17,000.00 The walk was in aid of Ashgate Hospice in Chesterfield.
Since January 2006 we have been supporting the marvellous work of Jill Robinson MBE and her unerring determination to save the plight of animals in Asia.Grace Landscapes has proudly donated monies and sponsors the rescued Moon Bear named Somerset, who lost his left front paw after being caught in a leg trap as a cub, and was destined to a life of misery in a bear bile farm.Animals Asia not only rescues many other such Moon Bears, but puts pressure on the Asian Governments to stop the cruel slaughter of dogs and cats in the food trade and campaigns to end the barbaric confinement of the Moon bears in tiny cages so that bile can be extracted painfully for medicines that can now be manufactured artificially.
Somerset now enjoys his life at a sanctuary in the company of other saved bears.
